Terms and conditions
These terms apply to every instruction that comes about through this site, by telephone or through WhatsApp, unless something else is agreed in writing. The Dutch version is the binding one; this text is a reading aid.
Instruction and rate
An instruction comes about at the moment you ask us to come out and we confirm it. The rates on the rates page apply as at the time of that conversation; the rate shown at the top of the site belongs to the day and the time at which you are looking.
All amounts include Dutch value added tax (btw).
Call-out charge and time worked
The call-out charge is counted once per visit, also when the work runs over. The first hour is charged in full, after that per quarter of an hour. If a second visit is needed for the same fault because a part had to be ordered, no new call-out charge is added.
If the work turns out differently
If it turns out on site that the fault is more work or different work than estimated on the phone, you hear what that will cost before any further work is done. You then decide whether it goes ahead.
If the fault cannot be put right, you pay the call-out charge and the time worked, and nothing else.
Materials
Materials are listed separately on the invoice, with a description. If you supply a tap, a boiler part or sanitaryware yourself, we will fit it; the warranty on that part then runs through your own supplier.
Warranty on the work
Work carried out carries six months of warranty, counted from the day of the visit. The warranty covers the work itself. It does not cover a blockage that returns through the same underlying cause, for example a pipe that has sunk or is damaged; that cause is named during the visit and noted on the invoice.
Access and safety
We assume that the place where the work has to be done is reachable and that a crawl space or meter cupboard can be opened. Where that is not the case, the time it takes to create that access counts as time worked.
Liability
We are liable for damage that is the direct result of a mistake in our work, up to at most the amount of the instruction concerned. Damage that already existed before we arrived, and consequential loss that cannot be attributed to the work carried out, fall outside that.
Payment and complaints
Payment can be made on the spot or on invoice, with a payment term of fourteen days. If you disagree with the invoice, say so within fourteen days, with the invoice and a description. We respond within ten working days.
Dutch law applies to every instruction.
