Vijfhuizen is small and sits on the Geniedijk, the old defence line that runs straight through the polder. The village core is old, the extension towards the Stelling is recent, and there is little in between. For us that means two kinds of work in one village: material problems in the old core, and couplings and valves in the newer part.
The village is on the edge of our area. We come, but the drive is longer than for the cores closer to Aalsmeer: usually 40 to 70 minutes. In an emergency we will say honestly on the phone whether that is fast enough for you; if it is not, a colleague nearer by is a better idea than waiting for us.
